I’m a product designer, focusing on sustainability, waste and how technology can create positive changes towards the empowerment of communities and individuals.
I was born in Mexico City, and have been based in London since 2007. I graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2010 before starting an MA in Design Products at the Royal College of Art, where I graduated from in 2013.
Since 2009 I started my design studio Golondrina Design, and in 2013 I created TRASH Surface Bureau, which uses waste materials to create high end products and applications. Both of these initiatives are now housed under the brand DiSH creative, under which I will continue to work towards the creation of new paradigms about sustainability and urban systems.
I am also the designer of SPARK, the percussion shaker that uses the energy created form its use to power and led, providing free electricity for Kenya, which won Gold at the London Design Awards in 2014. www.shakeyourpower.com
